What a Website Costs in Panama
In September 2026, what agencies in Panama publish runs from $150 to more than $5,000. That range is so wide it's useless for budgeting, so here's what actually moves the price and what you're buying at each level.
«how much does a website cost in Panama»
Three numbers explain almost every quote you’ll get: how many pages, who writes the copy, and whether anyone connects the site to Google afterwards. Everything else —the design, the technology, the words on the proposal— moves the price far less than those three.
What you get at each level
Under $300. A template with your logo dropped on it and the copy you provide. It exists, it has your phone number on it, and that’s the whole value. Fine if what you need is an address to send people to.
Between $700 and $1,200. One page, written for you, built for a phone, with a WhatsApp button and your location on Maps. This is where a small business that wants to be found usually lands. Our Essential plan sits here and includes the Google Business Profile created and verified, which is the part most people skip.
Between $1,100 and $2,500. A page for each service you offer, copy written the way people search, contact forms that reach you, and measurement of how many people get in touch. If you sell more than one thing, this is the level where Google can tell them apart.
Above $2,500. Catalogue, bookings, an admin panel, more than one language. At this point you aren’t buying a website, you’re buying a small system, and the price depends on what it has to do.
What actually moves the price
Four things, in the order they matter:
How many pages. One page is one conversation with the visitor. Seven pages means seven, and each one has to be written, designed and connected. This is the single biggest driver of a quote.
Who writes the copy. If you hand over the text, the work is layout. If the copy has to be written —which means someone has to understand what you sell and how your customers describe it— that’s the slowest part of the project and the one that decides whether the site ranks at all.
Photos. A site built around stock photos looks like every other site built around stock photos. If yours need to be taken, that’s a separate cost and a separate day.
What it has to do beyond informing. A contact form is cheap. Bookings with availability, payments, a catalogue that someone updates weekly, or two languages are not: each one is software that has to keep working after delivery.
Notice what isn’t on that list: the technology. Whether a site is built with WordPress, Webflow or generated as static files changes the maintenance and the speed, but it rarely explains a $2,000 gap between two quotes. The gap is almost always pages and copy.
What you pay every year
The site is a one-off. These aren’t:
- Domain: $10 to $22 a year for a .com. A .com.pa costs $50 for the first two years and $25 a year after that, according to NIC Panamá’s price list of June 1, 2026 → a .com or a .com.pa.
- Hosting: from about $40 a year on a shared plan. Some services host a static site for free, but not all of them allow business use.
- Maintenance: optional. It’s what keeps a form that stopped sending from going unnoticed for four months. Ours starts at $120 a month, and plenty of businesses do without it for a while.
How to read a quote before signing it
Ask for these four things in writing. They cost nothing to ask and they’re what separates a real quote from a number on a WhatsApp message:
- What’s included, page by page. «A website» isn’t a scope. «Five pages, one per service, copy written by us» is.
- Who owns the domain and the logins. The answer should be: you.
- The delivery date, and what it depends on. Usually your copy and your photos.
- What happens after delivery. Who fixes what breaks, and what that costs.
If a quote can’t answer those four, the price isn’t the problem — the scope is.
If your budget is under $700
Then a website probably isn’t your next step, and saying so costs us the sale. What pays off first, at zero cost, is the Google Business Profile: it’s free, it’s what shows in the map block above the search results, and in Panama almost nobody has it complete. A business with a finished profile and no website gets found more often than one with a pretty site and an empty profile.
Come back for the site when being found is costing you real money — or when you have something to sell that a profile can’t explain.
What nobody should promise you
A position on Google. Ranking takes months and depends on how competitive your sector is. Anyone promising first place in two weeks is either buying ads and not telling you, or lying. What can be promised is the work that makes ranking possible: structure, speed, copy, and the Google Business Profile complete from day one.

Also worth asking
How much is a simple website in Panama?
A simple page —one page, with your services, your location and a WhatsApp button— goes for between $150 and $1,200 in Panama depending on who builds it. Under $300 it's almost always a template with your logo on top and generic copy. Our smallest plan starts at $700 and includes the Google Business Profile created and verified.
What do I pay every year, on top of the site?
Three things. The domain, between $10 and $22 a year for a .com. Hosting, from around $40 a year on a shared plan; some services host static sites for free, but not all of them allow business use. And maintenance, which is optional but is what keeps the site from breaking without anyone noticing. A published site left alone costs nothing until the day it stops working.
Why can two quotes for the same site differ by $2,000?
Because they aren't quoting the same work. The cheap one is usually a template assembled in a few hours with the copy you brought; the expensive one includes writing the copy, a page per service, the Google profile and contact tracking. Both are legitimate. What isn't legitimate is not telling you which of the two you're being sold.
Is it worth building it myself with Wix or WordPress?
If you have the time and your business doesn't yet depend on being found, yes. A template you put together yourself beats an expensive page you can't update. It's worth hiring when the time you'd spend is worth more than the cost, or when you need the site to bring customers rather than just exist.
Do the domain and the site end up in my name?
They should, always. It's the question most people forget to ask and the one that costs the most later. Ask for the domain registered to you, the hosting account in your name and every login handed over on delivery.
Do you work with businesses outside Panama?
Yes. The work happens the same way it does here —WhatsApp or a call, a written proposal, half to start and half before launch— and the site ends up in your name regardless of where you are. Tell us where you're based and we'll tell you how payment works from there.
